They wiped out PVCS, so that initial install/setup is gone. So, now they want to start using source control (again) but now are questioning which is best to use, and of course there's that PVCS cheerleader, but he can't get it to do what we need it to do, as in the security thing AND using source control from WITHIN VFP.

The decision to use PVCS in the first place was made by corporate. I wanted to use VSS, but had no choice. I think PVCS gets better reviews, but I'm not sure how the two stack up to each other from security, etc. Either one works well from within VFP. If you're setting it up again, definately take a look at the KB articles on VFP & VSS integration, even if you go with PVCS.
