I'm having some serious trouble with foxpro again and I hope that someone out there has encountered this problem and either has more info or (maybe maybe maybe) a solution?
I program that I am working on has the capacity to generate a large amount of print jobs and paper changes. We need to print out coverletters with legal size documents when they print out. The paper changing and everything is working fine. Up until just recently, we had a macro which changed the papersize and now I have written a little C DLL that changes papersize.
The problem is that after a seemingly random number of paper changes and reports foxpro generates a "Resource Manager internal consistency error" and then blows out. Unfortunately, it was doing this before the DLL was being used so I know that isn't the problem.
These "reports" are actually generated from @...SAYS; before anyone says it, I know report forms are better but we have a large amount of code which it still out there that uses this kind of printing.
An additional piece of datum is that we print a few different fonts (not many though.) I've researched in MSDN and Knowledge Base, etc. and that didn't help. The "Hacker's Guide to Foxpro" has nothing on this.
It seems to crash no matter what operating system you are on - I'm running Windows 2000, some people run Windows 95 and others Windows NT 4.0 workstation and we even have a few still on Windows 3.1. However, the common denominator seems to be that everyone is using Hewlett Packard printers.
Is there any way to lick this problem? HELP!! Thanks!!
