Yeah, I have also used the MS XMLHTTP object to transfer XML much like the way I think Rick is doing it. I got it work, but it's a lot more code than RDS. I would much rather use RDS, but I'm not sure if there are any limitations using it to transfer XML strings because it was intended to be used to transfer ADO RS's. As far as I know, the only thing you have to do to implement RDS is add a registry entry on the web server, no big deal.
