I give you that, a habit is hard to break :)

Buffering appeared with version 3.0. We are now at version 6.0. Much of the bugs have been ironed out since then. I have allways used buffering since version 3.0 and have never experienced a bug with buffering. Maybe it is time to tell your boss to take a new look into buffering (tell him that you will take less time reinventing the wheel, this should convince him) :)
