Welcome to the wonderful word of VB! :) VB has no concept of data by itself, things like SELECT-SQL are not defined in the langage like in VFP. You will need to use a data control like ADO and use the methods and properties of the control to do your query. You will need to learn how to use the data control before, look at the help file to learn more about data control.
