>Let me jump in on this thread and tell you about a similar problem that I'm having right now. I am doing APPEND BLANK - REPLACE inserts through a remote view to a SQL Server table. After inserting about 1000 records, I browse the remote view and it shows the proper number of recs (1000), but when I check through the SQL query analyzer, it seems that a number of records (usually a dozen or less) never made it into the physical table.

What version of VFP? I don't personally know of any problems with inserting large numbers of records but someone else might need to chime in if they have seen any.
We saw some problems under VFP3 with record(s) being INSERTed and TABLEUPDATED() with table buffering with the TBALEUPDATE() returning success and yet the records were no where to be seen later. Tried FLUSH, etc. with no luck. Filled log tables with data during the operations to try to isolate it but everything indicated the write was a success. Problem was very intermittent. Novell 3.x and 4.x, NT4.0 latest SP's, etc. Were never able to track it down. Upgraded the system to VFP6 last April and have seen no occurrences of this problem so we attributed the problem to some sort of bug in VFP3 or some interaction between VFP3 and the LAN.
