I've never seen ExpressIt so I couldn't tell you. In OutlookExpress it is an option set from a dialog. You might try reinstalling it and it may force itself on the system.

I am lost...ExpressIT doesn't seem to have a configuration option such as "Make ExpressIT the default Simple MAPI client".
