Hi BOB.

I found out your name exploring messages, I suppose that your are user of VFP and ORACLE.

I have the following problem.

There are 3 sessions open VFP 5.0 in the same workstation running a program that access ORACLE tables in a NETWARE server.

When I close the sessions(outside VFP), I lose future connections to the oracle listener TNSLSNR (sql*net v2) from my workstation and any workstation in the network.

CLIENT ENVIRONMENT :
WIN95
VFP 5.0
ORACLE ODBC DLL’S OBTAINED FROM WWW.ORACLE.COM
OCI 7 2 2 3 1
SPX ADAPTER 2 3 2 1 3
ODBC DRIVER 1 13 5 0 04
RSF 7 2 2 3 1
SQL ADD ON 2 2 2 1 0

Oracle SQL*Net V2 Driver v2.1.3.0.2 - Production
Oracle SQL*Net V2 TNS Library v2.1.3.0.2 - Production
Oracle TNS Listener v2.1.3.0.3 - Production

The ORACLE response codes are ORA-12545 (TNS LookUp Name Failure, ora ORA-12203

Other problem is when the SQL sentence into the SQLEXEC statement produce an error ORA-xxxx you can not continue the processing of the aplication with the same handel connection (odbc), in my case I must disconnect from oracle and reconnect again losing the transaction,
It is really ???.

I appreciate if you could help in this topics.

By the way if you Known other people that are using VFP and ORACLE, please tell me their names to contact with them.

Thank you in advance.
DAVID.
