actually goes away. :-) I guess until they can deal with some of the DOS type backward compatibility issues ( i.e. games ) and DirectX support ( I don't know what level W2K has ), it'll continue to "hang around".
Speaking of games, Win2K comes with a 3D Pinball game that looks and sounds great.
The one thing I don't like about it is that it takes a long time to load. The screen stays black for a long time then you get some dots going across the top before the opening screen comes up. This is, however, the Release Candidate 1 beta, so I don't know for sure what the final will be like.
