Hi William, thank you for your help. Currently, what I plan to do is create a timer (which I never worked with) to connect to Novell server and grabs the files. My timer will need to check files almost every 30 seconds between certain times of the day. I am not sure how timer will run constantly on my server, I would like to begin and terminate the process from my workstation. I'm hoping that when my workstation is shutdown the timer won't terminate. Being not a very seasoned vfp programmer, I would like to see your article on Novells ActiveX and MS scripting components. I guess after I have found a way to connect the server, I can ping the server to see if I am still connected, if not then I reconnect again using your techniques.
