I didn't say that language is the only cause of conflict. But I still maintain that it is a major cause.

Sure that the politicians are not angels. That's why I wouldn't mind having one less layer of government (federal, provincial).

But I don't want to start a war on this here, I don't think it's the right place to do so and have no desire to hurt someone. So let agree to disagree if you want.

I think that you'll find that it is the other things that many Quebeckers (at least according to their elected officials) want and claim to need. The politicians use language to stoke the fire, but it is really the other stuff which really wrankles many non-Quebeckers.
