How is the field with QTY*UnitCost formatted? Try 999999999.999999999 and make the field really wide. Funny things happen when the field isn't wide enough. Once you get something to show, you can adjust back to reality. It's OK for fields to overlap.

One more thing, you can watch values of report variables in the locals or debug windows as you page through the report.
