Don't you know the name of the variable when you write the code? Just return the name in quotes...

Off hand, why on earth would you ever want to do this? Variables are programmers tools whose names should not be passed from routine from routine, because their names sholud be of no importance. Maybe what you want to do is pass a variable by reference...
