I don't have any experience with stonefield reports nor foxfire, but I can say that Crystal Reports is a damn good report writer. Unlike the VFP report writer, you can almost make any complex lay-out you want. You can also export the reports to any of the popular formats (word, Excell, RTF, HRML, etc..)


Maybe this very advanced report writer has the drawback that it's less usable for ordinary users, though some education might be sufficient. Another might be that licensing might be an expensive joke, if you're talking about more than a few users.

Further, CR can't use the VFP database directly. You need to use ODBC or FOX 2.x datasources.
