Yes, you are rather safe. The only thing I remember seeing here was for a fareast install where some DLL was missing. the VF*.* DLL's contain localized versions of the strings used within VFP. As an example if you add -LVFP5FRA.DLL and VFP5FRA.DLL is available, then all your VFP windows will have a French menu for Close, and this sort of things.
