yeah, that's what i figured becuase it seems pretty straightforward. i can't get it to work though. the tableupdate() returns .t. but the base table doesn't have the data afterwards.
that's why if figured maybe the base table needed to row also so that the tableupdate() knew which row to update.
i do have optimistic table buffering so i know all rows should be sent.
