I totally agree. What I find so interesting is that, it seems anyway, most of the call for lower taxes is coming from the West, particularly Alberta and we already have the lowest taxes in Canada. And yet I feel they are way too high.

It is very hard to accept that if you work a little overtime and make say an extra $100 that the government gets half of that. Last summer my company sent me down to Dallas for a bit. of time. For the inconvenience of having to be away from home, I asked for an extra $100 a day for being away (on top of expenses). (Mostly to cover the drinks in the hotel lounge because I have nothing else to do!) You might say, who needs $100 a day for drinks? But only $50 of that would be mine to spend. And I did hope to come out a little ahead! Sometimes that extra effort and extra work IS hard and strenuous. They seem like pimps, collecting their half whenever you want to do a little extra.

On the other hand, we do have rabbit art, and there was that great investment in Bubbles Galore! I did try to watch Bubbles when Showcase presented it. But it was on late and I fell asleep. It was such a moronic, childish, idiotic movie it was embarassing to watch!

Just think, if I put in a little overtime, I could be helping to produce Bubbles Galore II!

>I agree with you. IMHO, the governement should put their energy in lowing our taxes instead of controling our lives.
>I was making a silly reference to the Quebec sign laws, which, probably to a lot of people, seem about as silly as making web sites use fonts of a smaller size.

>>Though I must admit that there is no web site font rule, it's doesn't seem all that unlikely!

>>I did follow the news reports of one company that had its web site shut down because they did not have a french language version as well.
>>
>>That seems rather undemocratic, even if Canada is not a democracy.
