Well, I'm glad it doesn't bother you. But, it bother's the hell out of me. Why? Because in my opinion you just proved the point... VI and VJ are both products that have far better competitors, and the industry knows it... so, VFP is on the same list too, eh? That's how I, and many, many others read M$'s actions. I'm pretty tired of it frankly, and personally I think M$ is sloooooowly letting the three of those products die. I can already hear the retorts ... "but they are all in VS, they all have development "next" versions, yada, yada." Well, that means little to a public who never hear of those products. In my discussions with clients those are all products that they have never heard of... VFP, VJ, VI. EVERYONE knows what VB is. So, from my perception VFP is on it's death bed. I love VFP/FP, I've worked with it for over 7 years and have made quite a few $$$ with it over the past two, but facts are facts. The worst part is that I don't think even M$ could save it now even it wanted to, the general opinion has already swayed and that rarely changes, especially when the "owner" of the product is the one broadcasting its demise -- SILENCE IS DEATH in technology.

I'm REALLY tired of the pathetic examples of how M$ is "improving" it's support and marketing of VFP... "Oh, did you see VFP showed up in XYZ computer rag!?" Yeah, why? Because M$ did something? No. Because the author stumbled onto VFP accidently and was amazed by it's power. Yeah, well those of us who work with it already know about that. The rest of the world sees that one article and thinks about VFP for about 12 seconds, and is then distracted by the 500 articles in their face about Office 2000, VB, "New and Improved" Access, and SQL Server 7. The end result? "VFP Who?"

No wonder Linux gains ground every second... sorry, not related to VFP, but I'm just venting a little more!

>Besides, if you check out http://msdn.microsoft.com/ssafe/prodinfo/evaluation/default.asp, it's listed there.....
