I am struggling to create a small form that plays the Microsift FILEMOVE.AVI animation when copying a large file from a server to the PC.

After adding the Microsoft Animation Control, v2 (MSCOMCT2.OCX) and setting the autoplay and open properties, I createobject, show the form, copy the file and then release the form.

The problem is that when the object is created, there is a noticeable lag between seeing the form and the appearance/start of the flying papers. <bg> I assume that this is the time for the media player to be loaded into memory.

I have tried OPENing the avi early on in th process, but no difference.

Am I missing something obvious here? Or is there a better way to do this.
