On the nose! I'd take a look at the CLSID embedded in the OLE Control in your form, and compare that to the CLSID of the control registered on the target system. If you visually add an ActiveX control to a VFP form, the CLSID is embedded (rather than the ProgID or VersionIndependentProgID, which are generally referenced by AddObject() or CREATEOBJ(), which are less version dependent.)
