Yes, the government should spend more time controlling the debt and lowering taxes and less time controling peoples lives.

But you put yourself on the government side. There is some logic (even in the government is is possible :-)) behind this

If the governement have more control over peoples lives then they will have better control over their incomes. So for those (individual or companies)profiting from tax fraud it will be more and more difficult to do it because the governement will eventually have all the numbers related to the financial transactions of all the canadians.

So this way the government will be able to get money that they could'nt get in the first place (black market ...) and they will eventually be able to lower the taxes.


I'm not putting myself on the side of the goverment here. I think that the most important thing is for all the canadians to be always protected by all intrusions by an overpowering government.
