As a side note, he had a follow up article on the NetworkObject as well that was excellent. The FSO is probably the best route for get file and drive information in any event.

I agree that the MSDN site (or even the library) can sometimes be like trying to find the proverbial "needle in a haystack" at times. Easiest way, of course is to search for FileSystemObject. There's a series of articles on it.
Admittedly, I was trying to find the article you mention before I responded, however, and it's another good source of information.
