"If you typed exactly as you have it on the form, you need to type the table name before every field. It will default to the main table as the source."

If I type the table name in front of every field of the RowSource property of my ListBox I am greeted with the following error message:

'field' phrase is not found.

Thanks for trying but I don't think that's my problem. When using the builder for a ListBox whose source is a table it follows the pattern that I was using: listing the table or view once followed by one period and then a list of fields.
