I have a database that I created in FP 2.6 and I have been asked to port to VFP. It's a sports competition administration system where I would like to create a database with all the tables needed for a competition inside the database. What I would like to do is to ceate a template database and then when a user has a new competition, the system would simply copy the template database and use that. For some competitions the user may also want to copy an existing database that has a lot the usable information already stored in the table.

This seemed like a sensable idea but I can't seem to find any straightforward way to do it. Is there a way to copy and database and all it's tables to a new database? I have looked at the COPY TO and COPY STRUCTURED EXTENDED commands but they don't seem to do what I want.

Can anyone out there suggest a solution to this?

TIA

Bill
