The stuff in the corner is all fixed relative to the top of the detail band. Nevertheless, when the stretch box stretches, the stuff in the corner gets pushed to the next page, even though the text above it (from a memo) is not getting anywhere near it. Why should the stuff in the corner move at all? If I shorten the streching box so that it no longer comes close to extending over the stuff in the corner, it stops moving.

It does appear as one line that will stretch. But I want that other stuff to stay in the corner, even if the memo is small. This, by the way, is that two page report about which I started a thread a while ago. The memo prints on page two, but the corner fields print on both pages. Page 1 has fields as close to the bottom as the corner stuff, so I can't use a page footer. I did a lot of fiddling to make it all work. Part of my problem was that a third page with nothing (or very little) kept getting printed, even when the memo was short. I never figured out why. As part of my effort to get rid of that third page, I put everything in the detail band, not using a group or a page header.
