I read the thread # 248907 regarding the FoxPro Advisor 8/99 sample to show the progress while creating an index. While it seems to work, sometimes I get system hang ups. I suspect it is dat contamination after the indexing.

The suggestion regarding an .AVI animation sounds promising, but what if the indexing fails? I know the .AVI will play while the indexing is going on. Is this the correct design?

turn-off .AVI

Is it necessary to create a special errorhandler that would get control if the indexing failed, so I can be certain to stop .AVI?
