>If you have other questions, I'll try to answer them. I spent last week working up a backup, restore and partial restore (which should NEVER be used). DZPROG32.exe is provided with DynaZip to allow you to display a progressbar and Cancel button. I printed out Chapters 5 & 6 and read them first. Took their dzexvfp project from the samples directory and used the code to understand how to make everything work.

Can the Dynastat control (dzstat32.ocx) be used with vfp 6? It could not be used with vfp3, which was what I was using when I was working with this (also DynaZip 3). Vfp3 would not run the code you put in the DynaZip controls' Major Status and Minor Status events, or any other code placed in an active-x control's events. I therefore used the DZPROG.EXE program.

I noticed on www.innermedia.com that they are at version 4 now. I e-mailed them asking them for a comprehensive list of changes and fixes so I could persuade my bosses to upgrade. They haven't replied, which is unlike them. I saw that they now have "basic" and "deluxe" versions. I don't remember if the basic version had these different forms of progress bars.
