Hi Jeff,
We've converted our commercial software app from VFP 5.0 to SQL Server 7.0 w/ VFP 6.0 and it runs quite nicely. We use remote views for data entry forms and SQL pass-through for queries and reports.
There aren't too many VFP/SQL Server books because Microsoft is encouraging developers to use VB as the primary front end development tool for client/server and internet apps. Also, Access 2000 is being pushed heavily now for stand-alone and LAN database apps.
