Took their dzexvfp project from the samples directory and used the code to understand how to make everything work.

It seems to me that dzexvfp and vfpsamples3 use the same interface and program. Did you noticed that Get List in vfpsamples3 doesn't work after you create an archive? I mean, create an archive and hit the Get List button without delay.

I read that it's better to use ActiveX MinorStatus and MajorStatus instead of DZProg32.exe. Do you know is it possible to use CreateObject() function instead of DLLs? What exact syntax will be?
