I'm trying to get an animation to run while doing some COPY FILEs, in an updating process. I've found a number of ideas that work for displaying AVI, ANI, GIF, etc., using various activex and other techniques.

They all have an identical problem - when the COPY FILEs lines of code are executed, the animation stops, flickers, disappears, etc., depending on what technique I'm using. All I'm trying to do is something like Win Explorer does, but no luck. COPY FILE seems to "commandeer" the entire Windows system. Any ideas on how to overcome this, something like Win Explorer does?
