>Hi Roi - I think we're talking about entire system performance, which is partly related to server DB access? What I'm referring to is data retrieval/update speed, when trying to compare vfp & a SQL Server-type DB.

Ok, I understand that throughput can be a performance issue. I was wondering; if you have a VFP front-end and a VFP back-end is there a simultaneous use problem? If 5000 users all try to access the same table at the same time, who craps out? I would guess the server would die under the load and the front end (VFP) wouldn't know why.
