Try ThisForm.MyLabel.AutoSize=.t. (even if the AutoSize prop is already .t.) immediately after you change the caption. This should force the recalculation of the width right after you change the caption. I don't know why, but sometimes it is a delay between the moment when the text is changed and the moment when the width is recalculated.
