i created an index on masterid alone(part of structural .cdx), as usual you are right, it sped things up considerably. thank you. my only hesitation is this, i still need the grid to display in (masterid+trans#) sequence. i have this index as part of the .cdx already but how do i implement it to display in this sequence or do i have to have it display im masterid seq?
