James,
We are running a large FPW2.6 system which is too large and active for an easy port to VFP (yet). Our web site, www.ht.com.au, is ageing just a little now but uses all the 2.6 tables with a combo of VFP on the web server and X-Works to enable VFP to do the scripting. It's faster than most e-commerce sites. We're doing typically $700,000 - $1,000,000 per month business through this site - not trivial in Australian terms. The link to X-works is found at the foot of the front page.
You will also find this forum uses X-works too. (see the cgi-bin/xworks.exe in the address?)
Others here will also suggest West Wind tools from Rick Strahl (West Wind Technologies). They provide more of a framework for VFP design.
HTH
Dave

>My question is that we have a sophisticated FPW 26 based system that we are not going to port up to VFP. We realize that obviously VFP is the future. However, we want to keep our 26 system and make a part of it Web-enabled. I apologize for such a naive question, but I must admit I am not very familiar with VFP.

We will want our system to be a dynamic one. That is, we will want the ability to READ and UPDATE existing data from FP 26 DBF tables. Does this cause problems? Finally, do you offer product(s) and/or development services? Ideally, we would like to use products that can use our existing code.
