>Refox is a *great* product and it offers you a way to protect your EXE from someone else having Refox. You need Refox version 7 for VFP 5, but Refox 7 also does VFP3 and FP and Foxbase EXE, APP, FXPs, SPXes, and so on.

>The latest version of Refox also has an _ANTIFROG_ directive which will protect your EXE against FROG, which is a similar product marketed by Pavel Celba in Eastern Europe. These two companies have obviously collaorated on this.

>Note that encrypting your EXE in the VFP PM is useless against Refox. All of VFP's APP files (BROWSER, BEAUTIFY, WIZARD, BUILDER) are decompiled in seconds by Refox.

>As for the "ethics" of Xitech, (as someone else bemoaned) they have a product that decompiles EXEs, and they have a way you can protect yourself, and you pay for both priveledges by buying a single product. I have no problem with that.

"Xitech" is doing nothing unethical...if that were the case, then all the companies making photocopy machines would also be unethical because it allows you to copy pages from a book, thus violating someone's copyright. The ethics come in the hands of the users.
