Title:
SQL Server timestamp use
How much does the SQL Server timestamp field improve performance? We have a VFP application with SQL Server as the backend, and have timestamp fields on all tables that are updated on a regular basis. Our problem is that we are now copying some tables from the production server to the development server, and tables with a timestamp error out in the copy process. The suggestion is to remove the timestamp fields, but we are concerned what affect it will have on performance.
Thanks for any help on the subject.
