Reinstall, why, be patient, describe me, all steps you are doing
and what namelly does not work.
There are lots of tiny things with Oracle client software, why good software does not work
Here is one
Sometimes on unknown reason some ole classes from Oracle client cd
are not registered automatically.
You should install them manually clicking on some files with blue icons in some win95 directory, will check , what directory.If no success with this ole , lots of things could not work later and so on and so on.
Ask me the following questions ( I installed Oracle client propably 100 times
know all rakes to stand on there and could install in with closed face)
1The version of client software
2 Do you have tcp/ip protocol on server and client. Did you run oralistener on server, does Oracle Enterprise software work for you after Oracle client was installed-schema manager, security manager and so on. If they work, the problem is in ODBC or right hanging it to easy net, if they did not work the problem
in Oracle client or protocol.
3 What do you see , when install Oracle client , what is in the left listbox, what items did you select, all .. all..
You really could do print screen of all windows in Oracle cd setup, put them for example in MsWorld or note pad or what you have and send it to me,
tell me what are you writing in easy net, what are you doing in odbc setup.
I worked in VFP/Oracle projects fro 1.5 Yaer and have Personal Oracle at home and Oracle 7, Oracle 8
at job
