We will be scheduling views created in ORACLE to run and refresh themseleves at regular intervals. We don't want all the data coming through our network.

There is no transactional data (or INSERT/ UPDATES) going up from our end. In any case those servers are speed demons (Octet Pentiums etc., etc.), so I really will be pushed to tax them.

There will be no question of ad hoc queries, since the source is insulated by three layers of business rules, query definitions and user security. Users will only view pre-run material.
