Hi Tim:

Whoo, boy... You really came out of left field on this one. I don't think I'm up to that big a shift -- and we are on a Novell network, so it would mean a new NT box in the picture. Don't think that's likely -- for budget reasons, and we now have a Y2K freeze till March 2000, so I would be surprised to get approval for an infrastructure change and new software during this period.

I'm not familiar with SNA server: Just in case we can't solve the problem within VSS, would you outline an approach using SNA Server? Are you referring to also MTS for this? These are all products I have heard of, but never looked in to using in detail, as the NT requirement made it more complicated in our Novell shop than I wanted to deal with at the time. Maybe now is the time...
