I have a unique ident on a table. It is set as a PRIMARY KEY and it is an integer. I have a oSession.get_next_id("Mytable") that gives me a next sequential number from a separate control table that contains the next sequential number of every table.

Now I wonder: If I put this function in the table insert trigger, will it work without affecting the current pointer or I don't know what ever side effect it could create by playing in another table at this moment?
