Hi Barbara,

I just tried your suggestion....this doesn't work either....It has to be something stupid that I just can't figure out!
Thanks,
Paul

>Paul,
>I missed the earlier messages, but since the grid is on a pageframe have you tried 'this.refresh' AND a 'this.Mygrid.refresh' in the page activate() method?

>>I posted a question earlier about the scrollbars dissappearing and the highlight bar not acting correctly on a grid. The recordsource for the grid is a cursor. The first time I fill the cursor everything works great. Later I can zap the cursor and then refill the cursor with info and my grid 'misbehaves'. I have removed the recordsource programatically and then reset it. I also have tried changing the record pointer of the cursor and changing the visible property of the grid to .f. and then back to .t.. None of these little tricks seems to work.
>>
>>Anyway, I have a little more info with hope that someone has an idea. First of all I didn't mention (and I don't know if it matters) that this grid is on the second page of a 4 page pageframe. The first page has a commandbutton that zaps the cursor, refills the cursor and then issues a setfocus for page2 of the pageframe. Again the first time I do this it works great. If I click on Page1 and re-click the command button, the second page does get focus but my grid doesn't work correctly.
>>
>>I then noticed if I click on the grid and then click on the page again the grid "resets" itself and all is well. I have tried for 1/2 a day now to recreate these events programatically. for example, issuing a grid.click and then a page2.click after the page2.setfocus to no avail.
>>
>>I have thought about just explaining in the manual of my app that they need to click the grid and then the page for it to work and then decided there has to be a solution to this problem :-)

>>Sorry about the novel,
