The Get Drive Parameters function I mentioned is the name of a
ROM BIOS Interrupt Function (Int 13 Function 08H), not a Win 32
API call. Unfortunately, I think that the only way to access it
would be through a library (either as an FLL or DLL) routine.
If you're interested, I can provide the necessary register settings and the meanings of the values returned in the registers.
