i have a few questions on my approach to some processing and how to use the tables and views.

in general, should i always try to query data from a table into a view, process the data in the view and then save the view back to the base table? or are there some kind of guidelines on when to use the views and when to access the tables directly?

if there are cases where i would read or write the base table directly and not use a view what would a good example be?
