There is another type of consistency that we benefit from in VFP and that is that the old stuff still works. I was talking with a VB developer yesterday (and it should be noted that overall he is very happy with VB). He was bemoaning the fact that the latest version of VB has made changes related to ADO which invalidate the Sheridan tab control that he has used through-out his app. Sheridan has come out with a new control they call Active Tab but he doesn't like it near as well as the old one.
