Yes I recall seeing the "The Definitive Guide" at the bookstore. I can't recall much about it other than the Rhino on the cover. The main selection criteria for me is content (of course), the author's writing style and my wittle brains ability to comprehend; ugh, did I mention
$price$. I have +8 JS books but I needed a detailed reference that showed what commands were supported by the diferent versions of IE and NS browsers. The JS bible does exactly that and is the reason I bought it (Of course the 20% off sticker on the book had absolutely nothing to do with it :).
