Currently, I'm using XML to provide data from a VFP COM application sitting on a web server to a webpage thru Server-side ASP. I use Rick Strahl's wwXML class within the VFP Comm app and then provide my own (updateable from a remote location without taking the webserver down) XSL files so I can change the XML display for different users and uses.

So, basically, you can get up and running quickly by using Rick's class. He has good technical articles and examples on his site too.
