I am torn between using the dataenvironment and writing code, when I am working forms and reports.

I like the visual features of the dataenvironment but I find that program code gives the most flexibility. Ideally I would like to use the data environment when I am designing and testing, then convert to code when I am done. When I am working with complex reports using many files, relationships and filters; the manual conversion process is overwelming.

Are there any utilities out there which take a data environment and convert it to code automatically? Any other thoughts on dataenvironment vs. coding?
