I am upgrading a VB3 application (to VB5) that currently interfaces with an Access 2.0 database. I will need to distribute this application once finished and would like to upgrade the database it interfaces with to Access97. My dilemma is this: In the field, all of the data is stored in Access 2.0 databases, how can I import existing data into the Access 97 database that I will distribute with my app? The structures will be the same because I am merely coverting the database form 2.0 to 97. I have looked at the TransferDatabase method of the DoCmd object, but can't get it to work. I am using CreateObject to creat an instance of Access that is not visible and this is working fine, but am having trouble with the commands in VB necessary to make the transfer work. Am I heading in the wrong direction with this? Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
