Just to add to this, I wiped everything out and created a new project with qstart. I compiled it and it ran fine. I went step by step through the dev guide (except I put myabstractfactory in a apattern.vcx). I called the free table lookup.dbf, and added 1 record dummy record to it. I put it in \myapp\data directory. I put the "this.add('omyfactory', myabstractfactory')"
in the myapp.addchildren(). I get the "file is in use" at startup. I even went to the website and downloaded the full version on 6.0a and tried it. No luck.

Deleted all fxp's
Recompiled many times
