We have a text field on the form with a ControlSource pointing to a field in a remote view [SQL Server 7]. The SQL Server 7 field is a numeric field with a precision of 6 and scale of 0, the view is mapped to a numeric field with a length of 6 and decimal of 0. The problem is the first time the user enters a number in the field a decimal point is displayed in the field and you can't enter a full 6 digits in the field?? Once a number has been entered in the field, when a user goes back to edit the field, no decimal point is displayed [which is the way we want it] and you can enter a number with 6 digits. Any ideas to keep the decimal from displaying the first time you enter a number in the field?
